Shepherd is a seasoned Public Auditor & Public Accountant with over 23 years of experience in audit and assurance, internal audit, forensic audit, finance, taxation, accounting, insolvency, risk management and advisory, He is an invaluable asset to GVillage (a member of Nexia International) an audit firm he founded in 2006. where he continue to lead and expand their service offerings. His career began with a five-year articles of clerkship at a local chartered accounting firm, followed by a successful ten-year tenure at Old Mutual as Internal Audit Manager and Business Continuity Manager. As an Insolvency Practitioner, Turnaround Strategist & Corporate Rescue Practitioner he has successfully resuscitated over a dozen companies through judicial management, corporate rescue, and schemes of arrangement. In his role as a Transaction Advisor and Business Coach, he has structured numerous local and international investment deals, particularly in mergers and acquisitions, and specialized in due diligence, business valuations, corporate finance and financial engineering. Shepherd is an active member of the ACCA Legislation and Tax Committee, a former Treasurer of PAC Gateway Primary School, and served as Associate Chairman for the OECD’s Exposure Draft on Corporate Ethics and Business Integrity for State-Owned Enterprises in Southern Africa. Additionally, he presided over the OECD’s Code of Corporate Governance handbook for SOEs and have served on the ACCA Network Executive Panel for 8years. He was also President of Capital Club Toastmasters International. He is a Fellow of ACCA and hold a BSc. Honors in Applied Accounting (Oxford Brookes University, UK) and a member of the Council of Estate Administrators.
