Cash Funeral Plan
- The Plan pays out a lump-sum amount in cash on the death of a registered Member or a registered dependent. The cash is made available, within 24 hours of receiving notification of death, to cover funeral and other related expenses.
- The policy can be offered to local and international customers.
- One can register up to eight (8) dependents. The dependents can be registered at any time.
- The Policy has a waiting period of three months which is not applicable on death happening through an accident.
- The Policy will lapse if a premium is not paid within the grace period of one calendar month. However, the policy can be reinstated within six months from the date of lapse subject to terms and conditions.
- ZB Life can assist members to obtain funeral and burial services in lieu of a cash payout. An arrangement is in place with a significant number of local funeral service providers.
One can add the following supplementary benefits to the Plan:
- Memorial Cash Benefit to assist with funding a memorial service.
- Tombstone Cash Benefit to fund the purchase of a tombstone and the tombstone unveiling event.
- Grocery Benefit to purchase basic grocery items for the deceased’s family as they adjust to changed circumstances in the first 6 months.
- School Fees Benefit to pay school fees for the deceased’s children in the first 6 months.
- Personal Accident Benefit that pays an additional payout should the member or registered dependent die through an accident.
